Nostalgiaaaaaa!

I was drivin to work this morning and i saw all these high school kids rollerblading and biking to school. Reminded me of my high school days where i would rollerblade to glory with my cd walkman(yea those were the days when we had those big walk mans)ignoring every1 in the streets. Nostalgia kicked in... It is usually the perfect image of something long lost. You often dream of how you should never have lost it, of how you could return to that instant, time, person or event and how it would make everything all right again, but on real terms, thank God if you never do. In time, the negativity of the experience levels off and creates an unreal image in your mind, which however is rather satisying to the justification of what once has been and now is lost. Yet, a single glance to the reality of 'what is missing' will most probably shatter all the perfection that your nostalgia has built up in your mind. The feeling is only perfect if left unhindered, as a thing of the past that has shaped you up into what you are and is now no more. The moment the nostalgic -reality- creeps back, it is no longer a good feeling of something good you had. Its magic wears out. It becomes a -possesion-, something you have no need to dream of and can't imagine as perfect, for in reality nothing is.
